1. Scope of Correction:

Gas safety equipments referred to in this business correction program are those fitted with add-on parts such as auto-shutdown device, storage meter, leakage detector or timer. This program includes add-on parts used in domestic natural gas equipments.

2. Coverage of the Industry:

This business correction program will include manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, retailers and any other related industries involved with the manufacturing or distribution of the equipments.

3. Items of Correction:

Most of the cases in this area processed by the Fair Trade Commission involved distribution practices and product name and advertising practices. In this respect, the business correction program will target:

1. check-ups of gas safety and distribution activities should be separated;
2. the education of gas safety should be separated from distribution activities;
3. transparency of information relating to business transactions; and
   
4. product name and advertising practices.
