Acts by citizens or organizations outside the country

25.	To what extent are the overseas activities of your citizens or organizations covered by your competition law? A: The FTL applies as long as any violations of the provisions of this law are detrimental to the public interest of Chinese Taipei, no matter where the activities take place.

Acts by foreign citizens or organisations

26.	To what extent are the actions of foreign citizens or organizations covered by your competition laws for actions that take place inside your borders? A: As far as the activities of foreign citizens or organizations are concerned, the FTL applies when the said activities violate the Law.
27.	To what extent are the actions of foreign citizens or organizations covered by your competition laws for actions that take place outside your borders but affect markets within your borders? A: In order to maintain order in transactions, to protect the interest of consumers, to ensure fair competition and to promote the stability and prosperity of the national economy, the Fair Trade Commission will take action when the said activities are likely to be detrimental to the public interests.
