February, 2014 [Merger notifications or concerted action applications]

1. Microsoft Corporation filed a merger notification regarding the assignment of Nokia Corporation’s Device Service Department. According to Article 12 (1 and 2) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC approved the merger with conditions attached. 
2. Light Era Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chunghwa Telecom, filed a merger notification regarding its acquisition of 100% of the shares of Yao Rong (transliteration) Real Estate Co., Ltd. According to Article 12 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
