March, 2014 [Merger notifications or concerted action applications]

1. Taipei New Horizons Co., Ltd. filed a merger notification with the FTC regarding its intention to reinvest and set up Taipei New Horizons Hospitality Management Consultancy Co., Ltd. and appointEslite Hotel Enterprise Co., Ltd. to manage the hotel business of the new company. According to Article 12 (1) of theFair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
2. According to Subparagraph 5 of Article 14 (1) and Article 15 (2) of theFair Trade Act, the FTC approvedthe request by TTET Union Corporation, Uni-President Enterprise Corporation, DaCheng Great Wall Enterprise Co., Ltd., Taihua Oil Industrial Group and Lan O’Lakes Inc. to extend their joint shipment of soybean imports for three years until Mar. 12, 2017.
3. Taiwan Cogeneration Corporation filed a merger notification regarding its intention to merge with Sun Ba Power Corporation. According to Article 12 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
4. US-based Photronics Inc., Photronics DNP Mask Group, Japanese Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. and DNP Display Technology Taiwan Co., Ltd. filed a merger notification with the FTC regarding their intention to merge. According to Article 12 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
