  1. When recruiting franchisees, Green Au Lait Dining Co. Ltd. did not fully disclose to trading counterparts important franchise informationin writing such as the expenses required before business operations began, the contents and validity of trademark rights, and the ratios of contract cancellation and termination in the same franchise system in the previous year. It was obviously unfair conduct able to affect the trading order of the chain store and franchise market in violation of Article 24 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  2. During a government-sponsored event, Tong Yi Water Co., Ltd. used the pretext of holding a raffle to obtain the personal information of participants and lied to them that they had won prizes but concealed important trading information to mislead them to purchase water purifiers and filters. The overall marketing practice was deceptive and obviously unfair conduct able to affect trading order in violation of Article 24 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC ordered the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$100,000. 
  3. Eastern Home Shopping and Leisure Co. and Li Jie (transliteration) International Enterprise Co. marketed the “7792 photocatalytic waterproofing, crack-resistant and anti-mold paint” on ET Mall andadvertised the product as having the capacity to resist mold and bacteria;when spread on toilet paper, the toilet paper would stay completely dry; and the product only needed to be applied on one side to be waterproofing while it could also turn cracks into flexible and bendable joints that would not break. The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of N$$80,000 on Eastern Home Shopping and Leisure Co. and NT$50,000 on Li Jie International Enterprise Co.
  4. Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. and Li Jie (transliteration) International Enterprise Co. marketed the “Mei Lai Yin Qu (transliteration) 3-in-One waterproofing, mold-resistant wall mold remover” and advertised the product as able to remove mold and resist bacteria with the bacterium resistance rate achieving 99.96%; when spread on toilet paper, the toilet paper would stay completely dry; and the product only needed to be applied on one side to be waterproofing while it could also turn cracks into flexible and bendable joints that would not break. The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
  5. Hua Yi (transliteration) Beddings Co., Ltd., Yahoo! Taiwan and Save & Safe Co., Ltd. posted a bed mattress advertisement and claimed the product as “passing the 80,000 times of pressure resistance” test conducted by SGS and it could “endure the 80,000 times of pressure resistance test!!” The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on each of Hua Yi Beddings Co., Ltd. and Yahoo! Taiwan and a fine of NT$50,000 on Save & Safe Co., Ltd.
  6. TsannKuen Enterprise Co., Ltd. marketed the “Tatung 12-inch TF-B12BT Box Fan” at its “TsannKuen Fast 3 Online Flagship Store” and advertised the product as having been awarded the “Energy-saving Label”. The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.   
  7. When marketing the “Jing Yao (transliteration)” housing project, Han Yao (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Hong Yuan (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. marked the balconies in the layouts for A1 and A3 as part of the interior. The practice was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$400,000 on Han Yao Construction Co., Ltd. and of NT$200,000 on Hong Yuan Advertising Co., Ltd.
  8. In its advertisement for the “Shi Zheng Yi Xin (transliteration)” housing project, Yong Xu Construction Co., Ltd. marked the balcony, orchard and awning areas as part of the parking or interior space. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  9. TPC-Global, a multi-level marketing business, failed to file with the FTC its changes of sales system and product items within the statutory period. The conduct was in violation of Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
  10. In its advertisement for the “RiGuang Xing Guan (transliteration) 2” housing project, RiGuang Xing Guan (transliteration) Construction and Development Co., Ltd. marked the parking space and balconies as part of the interior. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  11. When marketing its“Orchid Club House (translation)” housing project, Hong Xuan (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked the machine room space as part of the interior in the layouts. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
