- When marketing the “Capital City (translation)” housing project, Qian Yi (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Tang Ying (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. marked the balconies and landings in the floor plans for the A1 to A7 units as part of the interior space. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on Qian Yi Construction and NT$100,000 of Tang Ying Advertising.
- Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. and JiuJian (transliteration) Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd. posted an energy saving label in an online advertisement for the “Chimei DC energy-saving two-way circulation turbine standing fan”. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
- When marketing its “San Xi Tang (transliteration)” housing project, Xi Fu Construction Co., Ltd. marked the machine room, storage room and balcony areas as part of the bedroom space in the layout posted in an advertisement. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on the company.
- When marketing its “Jia Xi Da Fu Lai (transliteration)” housing project, Jia Xi (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked the statutory open lots, parking space, balconies, landings and rooftops as part of the interior in the schematics for the general layouts of Type A and Type B units. The practice was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on the company.
- In an advertisement for its “Jin Fu Di Bao (transliteration)” housing project, Jin Fu (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked the machine room and balcony areas on the 5th to 12th floors of Building C2 as part of the interior space. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
- Nissan Taiwan posted on its website the claim of “Super Sentra - the most powerful upper-medium sedan in history” without fully disclosing related information. The wording was a misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on the company.
- SMS Water Purifier Co., Ltd. posted on the Banana Water Shop of PCHome Online Mall an advertisement for the Jinkon brand JD-1211 and JD-3233 water dispensers and claimed they were “products of No.1 power-saving and energy-saving technology” and had also been “awarded the power-saving and energy-saving label.” The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
- In an advertisement for its “JiFeng (transliteration)” housing project, Ming Feng (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked the exterior space as part of the interior space in the ground floor layout. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
- ZongCai Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-Level Marketing Supervision Act for failing to file with the FTC before changing its product items. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
- When recruiting franchisees for its “C.up C+”chain, Cheng Cheng (transliteration) Co., Ltd. did not fully disclose important trading information to its trading counterparts before contract signature. The conduct was in violation of Articles 21 and 24 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$150,000.
- Gu Di (transliteration) Pet Food Co., Ltd. and SofyDOG Co., Ltd. restrictedtheir distributorsfrom determining the resale prices for New Zealand-made ZiWiPeak pet food products. The practice was in violation of Article 18 of the Fair Trade Act. According to the first section of Article 41 (1) of the same act, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on each company. The fines totaled NT$300,000.
- Kaohsiung Association of Real Estate Appraisers restricted its members from determining their own bid prices. The conduct was in violation of the regulationagainst concerted actions in the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the association to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$400,000.
