  1. Dutch company Dell Inc. made related agents or distributors stop supplying Sonic WALL products to a certain enterprise for its purpose of harming that enterprise. The conduct was likely to restrict competition in violation of Subparagraph 1 of Article 19 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC therefore imposed an administrative fine of NT$2 million on the company.
  2. Quan Min An (transliteration) Kitchen Equipment Co., Ltd. adopted the pretext of performing gas safety checks to sell gas breakers. The overall marketing approach was deceptive conduct able to affect trading order in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  3.  In its advertisement for the “Yi Jian Shen Qing (transliteration) housing project, You Yi Shan (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked part of the parking space and the balconies as part of the interior. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  4. In its advertisement for the Ri Bu Luo (transliteration) housing project, Er Jie Tang (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. posted the claim that the units were “villas with a garden and separate passages for people and cars.” The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$600,000 on the company.
  5.  Yue Yang (transliteration) Development Co., Ltd. and Mai Te (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. used terminology and images for residential units in an advertisement for the “Dun Yang (transliteration) office building project. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the two companies administrative fines of NT$1.2 million and NT$500,000 respectively.
  6.  The business card of Jun Hang (transliteration) Car Rental Co., Ltd. carried the wording of “wedding limousine service and airport transportation for business people leaving and returning to the country” and also posted the claim that “Jun Hang Car Rental Co., Ltd. is an old car rental operation providing short- and long-term rental cars, airport transportation, businesspeople pickup service, and tourism services” in an online advertisement. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content of service in violation of Article 21 (4) in applying mutatis mutandis Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  7. In its advertisement for the “Xin Jie Du (transliteration)” housing project, Han Xiang (transliteration) Development Co., Ltd. marked the balconies as part of the interior space. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1.5 million on the company.
