  1.  The FTC received complaints that World Gym Taiwan had purchased the online search keyword of the business logo of its competitor. The practice was inappropriate and in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. Therefore, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  2.  The commercial equipment branch of Hong Kong-based Sanyo Electric (Hong Kong) Limited Commercial Refrigeration Branch and Shyang Ling Freezing and Air-conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. established a mutual understanding and engaged in bid rigging in the tender put up by a domestic hypermarket for procurement of freezing and refrigeration equipment. The conduct was in violation of Article 14 (1) of the Fair Trade Act at the time. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1 million and half a million on the two companies, respectively.
  3. Eastern Home Shopping & Leisure Co., Ltd. and Bodyfeeling Co., Ltd. posted an advertisement for the “Bellewear body-slimming beautyberry underwear”. Their advertisement wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$200,000 and 100,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  4.  Mr. A, a multi-level marketing participant, made a false, untrue and misleading representation about the sales system when introducing others to join the scheme. The conduct was in violation of Article 10 (2) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed on him an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  5.  When marketing the “Da Xi Huang Pin (transliteration)” housing project, Kun Cheng (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Zong Ying (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. marked some of the balcony areas as part of the interior space in the “A7 floor plan schematic.” It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$150,000 and 100,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  6.  In an advertisement for the “Chang Zai (transliteration)” housing project, Ye Cun (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Cheng Ding (transliteration) International Development Co., Ltd. indicated that the outdoor parking area on the ground floor was indoor space and that the atrium included a pavilion and other facilities which would be illegal buildings. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on each company.
  7.  Fong Ling Internet Technology Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, did not file with the FTC before beginning operation. The conduct was in violation of Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  8.  In an advertisement posted on VRHouse.com.tw for the “Hu Sen Bao (transliteration)” housing project, Yih Shin Construction Co., Ltd. and Fu Guan (transliteration) Realty Co., Ltd. marked the machine room space as part of the interior in the floor plans. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$200,000 and 100,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  9.  When marketing the “Tao Xi (transliteration) No. 8” housing project, Jing Xi (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. marked the parking area as part of the shop or interior space. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
