  1. Da An Wen Shan (transliteration) Cable TV Co., Ltd. signed a service contract with apartment building management committees that included provisions to exclude competitors from competition. The practice was illegitimate and likely to restrict competition in violation of Subparagraph 3 of Article 20 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and report to the FTC about the removal of the provisions within two months after receiving the disposition, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$900,000 on the company.  
  2. Golden Channels (translation) Cable TV Co., Ltd. signed a service contract with apartment building management committees that included provisions to exclude competitors from competition. The practice was illegitimate and likely to restrict competition in violation of Subparagraph 3 of Article 20 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and report to the FTC about the removal of the provisions within two months after receiving the disposition, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1.2 million on the company.
  3. Tian Wai Tian (transliteration) Cable TV Co., Ltd. signed a service contract with apartment building management committees that included provisions to exclude competitors from competition. The practice was illegitimate and likely to restrict competition in violation of Subparagraph 3 of Article 20 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and report to the FTC about the removal of the provisions within two months after receiving the disposition, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1.6 million on the company.
  4. Greater Taipei Le Le (transliteration) Gas Enterprises Co. printed and distributed service notices that could mislead natural gas users to believe that the notices came from their natural gas provider. The company then adopted the pretext of performing safety inspections to push the users to purchase its gas safety devices. The overall marketing practice was deceptive conduct affecting trading order in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  5. Shang He (transliteration) Water Purifier Co., Ltd. organized raffles and notified winners to get their personal information. The company concealed important transaction information to mislead consumers to purchase related products. The overall marketing practice was deceptive and obviously unfair affecting trading order in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  6. Full Lin (transliteration) Development Co., Ltd. marked the parking space on the first basement level and the ground level as well as the terraces on the second and third floors and the landing areas in the rooftop protrusions as part of the interior space in the section perspectives posted in an advertisement for the “Full Lin B&W” housing project located in Shalu District, Taichung City. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1 million on the company.
  7. Ya Wei (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. used dotted lines to mark the balconies in the second-floor and third-floor layouts as part of the interior in an advertisement posted on knowHouse.com for the “Ya Feng Yi Shu” phase 2 housing project. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  8. Chu Qu Zou Zou (transliteration) Co., Ltd. posted untruthful information in a comparative advertisement about the “Founder Analysis” and “Management Team Analysis” items. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content of service affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (4) in applying mutatis mutandis Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  9. When marketing the “Yao Dan Shui (transliteration)” housing project, Jia Hong (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Xin Fu Li (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. posted pictures of mezzanine design in an online advertisement. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$200,000 and NT$100,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  10. Hong Ye (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Jin Fa (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. used texts, pictures and mezzanine design which are normally adopted for residential units in an advertisement for the “Yuan (transliteration) ROOM 4.35M” housing project. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1.4 million and NT$700,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  11. Mr. A started his multi-level marketing business without filing with the FTC in advance. The conduct was in violation of Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed on him an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  12. Jing Cheng (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Bo Gen (transliteration) Development Co., Ltd. presented the units as of a mezzanine design in the “A8 layout” as well as with the model home displayed at the construction site when marketing the “Gao Di (transliteration)” housing project. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the two companies to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1 million and NT$500,000, respectively.
  13. Wang De Fu (transliteration) International Enterprises, a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by changing its product items without filing with the FTC in advance. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
  14. Chong Hong (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Xing Kai Chuang (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. indicated in an advertisement for the “Century (translation) Chong Hong” housing project that there would be public facilities including the Sky Lounge and VIP balconies. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$2 million and NT$1 million on the two companies, respectively.
