  1. VKANG Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by failing to submit statutorily required documents and information to register with the FTC before starting operation. In addition to ordering to company to correct the unlawful act within two months, the FTC imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$300,000.
  2. In an advertisement posted on 123.com.tw, KuoBrothers Co., Ltd. and Jiajiaying (transliteration) Co., Ltd. adopted the text of “made in Taiwan” and “place of origin: Taiwan” to market a “Taiwan-made double-rotor movable water-cooled fan.” The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to place of origin of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
