1. Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. acquired 85% of the shares of Bebe Poshe International Co., Ltd. through Dafu Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. and Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
2. First Commercial Bank, Taiwan Cooperative Bank, Mega Bank, Hua Nan Commercial Bank, Chang Hwa Commercial Bank, Land Bank of Taiwan, Taiwan Business Bank and Bank of Taiwan filed an application for permission to extend the duration of their state-owned bank credit card alliance. The FTC approved an extension of the alliance until Mar. 1, 2025 but added certain undertakings in accordance with Subparagraphs 1 and 2 of the proviso in Article 15 (1) and Article 16 of the Fair Trade Act.
3. US company Bain Capital Investors LLC filed a merger notification regarding its intention to engage in a pooling of interests through its subsidiary with Lite-on Sales & Distribution Inc., a subsidiary of Lite-on Technology Corporation, and Solid State Storage Technology Corporation. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
