1. Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. intended to merge with Taiwan Star Telecom Corporation Ltd. Citing the second section of Article 10 of the Enforcement Rules of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC rejected the merger notification.
2. Kuang Ming Shipping Corporation and ten other shipping companies filed an application for permission to extend their concerted action. Citing the proviso in Article 15 and Article 16 (2) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC approved the application and extended the concerted action for five years from Sep. 29, 2022 to Sep. 28, 2027.
3. Walsin Lihwa Corporation, Luxemburg company Walsin Lihwa Europe SARL, Luxemburg company MEG S.A. and Italian company Cogne Acciai Speciali S.p.A. (CAS) filed a notification regarding their intended merger. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
