  1. When recruiting franchisees for the Ramble Café chain, Ramble Café and Ramble Co., Ltd. did not fully disclose important franchise information before contract signature. The practice was obviously unfair conduct able to affect trading order in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the two entities administrative fines of NT$80,000 and NT$100,000, respectively.
  2. When marketing the Zhu Feng Dun Hui (transliteration) housing project, Zhu Feng Construction Co., Ltd. and Da Yuan Advertising Co., Ltd. posted in the Liberty Times e-Paper the text "Over 50% of Zhu Feng Dun Hui units sold within one month before the announcement of the Level 3 Pandemic Alert" and "Sales breaking 70% during June and July even after the announcement of the Level 3 Pandemic Alert." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to the amount of sales and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the two companies to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed an administrative fine of NT$500,000 on each of them.
  3. Three individuals, respectively surnamed Luo, Lin and Li, engaging in multi-level marketing, violated Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by starting operation without filing with the FTC in advance. In addition to ordering them to immediately cease the unlawful act and restrain their affiliated organizations from continuing to engage in multi-level marketing, the FTC also respectively imposed administrative fines of NT$150,000, NT$100,000 and NT$150,000 on them.
  4. In a Coway air purifier advertisement posted on its Facebook wall, E-life Mall Corporation claimed the product was "the only air purifier on the market passing medical certification and the top choice to fight the pandemic." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  5. When marketing an "incredible fat-burning waist-slimming belt" on the momo shopping website, Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. and Xuang International Co., Ltd. claimed in an advertisement that the product could "burn fat and slim the waist" and "the silver coating in the lining could "accelerate the burning of subcutaneous fat." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$80,000 on each company.
  6. An individual surnamed Jian posted the text "Tests performed by SGS prove the antibacterial effect and deodorizing effect achieving 99.9%" and also claimed on the personal LINE page: "The silver fiber in Baifang (transliteration) socks tested by SGS is able to suppress the activity of 650 types of bacteria with the antibacterial effect achieving 99.9%." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on Jian.
