  1. When recruiting franchisees for the ZHAO Brunch chain, Zhao Brunch and Weili Rongye (transliteration) Co., Ltd. did not provide prospective franchisees with complete important franchise information before contract signature. The practice was obviously unfair conduct able to affect trading order, and was in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on each of them.
  2. Taiwan Mobile Co., Ltd. made an investment in newly-established Prosperous Living Co., Ltd. through Woori Homeshopping Co., Ltd. and Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. and was required to file a merger notification with the FTC but did not do so. The conduct was in violation of Article 11 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$500,000 on the company.
  3. The brands of the toilet seat covers and toilet seats and 24-hour dustproof ventilation windows installed in the units of the Kingdom Taiji (transliteration) housing project that Kingdom Construction Group marketed were inconsistent with the descriptions in advertisements. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1.2 million on the company.
  4. When marketing two types of super fast charging cables on shopee.com, Yuhao (transliteration) Enterprise Co. posted the wording "Taiwan made" and "Made in Taiwan." The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to place of origin of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$80,000 on the company.
  5. When marketing the Yensun brand YS-3070GHX dehumidifier on the Yahoo! auction site, Baini Technology Co., Ltd. continued to post the text "Class 1 energy performance dehumidifier," "Class 1 power-saving performance" and "energy efficiency certified Class 1" despite the product energy efficiency rating having been changed to Class 4. As the claim was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC sent a written warning to remind the company of its obligation to post truthful information in advertisements and that corrections should be made immediately.
  6. Zhongji (transliteration) e-Commerce Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by starting operation without filing with the FTC in advance. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
