  1. Sunlight Snorkeling Tour and 20 other snorkeling tour services established a mutual understanding to jointly increase snorkeling tour charges. The practice was able to affect the supply-demand function of the relevant market in violation of the regulation against concerted actions set forth in Article 15 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on each of Sunlight Snorkeling Tour and four other snorkeling tour services and an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on each of Eco Tour Agency and 15 other snorkeling tour services. Meanwhile, the FTC also cited Article 14 (1 and 2) of the Administrative Penalty Act and imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on Xiaoliuqiu Tourism Development Association for prompting Sunlight Snorkeling Tour and the twenty other snorkeling tour services to violate the regulation against concerted actions specified in Article 15 (1) of the Fair Trade Act.
  2. In the product distribution agreements signed with suppliers of contact lenses, Pao Lien Optical Co., Ltd. included clauses regarding the most preferential product supply prices and promotional activities to restrict the business activities of suppliers. The practice led to competition restraints in violation of Subparagraph 5 of Article 20 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC ordered the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$500,000.
  3. Taiwan Cement Corp. and 17 other ready-mixed concrete businesses established a mutual understanding to allocate ready-mixed concrete trading counterparts in Taoyuan City to prevent competition. The conduct was able to affect the supply-demand function of the ready-mixed concrete market in Taoyuan City. It was in violation of the regulation against concerted actions set forth in Article 15 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the offenders administrative fines which totaled NT$213.1 million.
  4. An individual surnamed Ye violated Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act by adopting deceptive means likely to affect trading order to market gas safety devices, but did not cease the unlawful act as specified in the FTC's Disposition Kung-Ch'u-Tzu No. 110065 dated Sep. 23, 2021. In addition to ordering Mr. Ye to immediately cease the unlawful act again, the FTC transferred the case to a judicial agency.
  5. When marketing the Minfa Tianju (transliteration) housing project, Minfa Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. posted in advertisements the wording "gym, semi-outdoor pool and spa pool in B1" and the facilities were supposed to be built in the space for the rainwater collection pond in B1 and the surrounding area. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. Therefore, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$800,000 on the company.
  6. JieMuSz Biotechnology Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated 1) Article 16 (2) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by recruiting people with limited capacity for civil conduct to be participants without acquiring the written consent of their legal representatives in advance and attaching it to the participation contract and 2) Article 20 (2) of the same act by failing to process withdrawal and returned products according to statutory calculation methods after participants cancelled or terminated their contracts within 30 days after contract signature. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$240,000 on the company.
  7. When marketing SY (Sheng Yih) 60x6040 side-lighting LED panel lights (4 pieces) on the PChome 24h shopping website, PChome Online Inc. and Apex Innovation Co., Ltd. posted the wording "compliant with Energy Label regulations" and an Energy Label picture. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$80,000 on each company.
  8. Fei Xun (transliteration) Technology Office Equipment Co., Ltd. marketed a "HIGHLY glass-top intelligent electric height-adjustable desk" on the company website and Facebook fan page and advertised the product as "the only one certified by the NCC," "the only one in Taiwan obtaining low electromagnetic wave certification from the NCC and the BSMI" and "the HL glass-top electric height-adjustable table certified by the BSMI, Ministry of Economic Affairs." The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
