  1. When marketing the Green Light Forest (transliteration) presale homes, Libang (transliteration) Development and Construction Co., Ltd. demanded that homebuyers pay a deposit in order to read the presale home purchase agreement. The improper restriction was obviously unfair conduct able to affect trading order in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$600,000 on the company.
  2. When marketing the Green City Love presale homes, Feng He Bang (transliteration) posted on Facebook a model home picture which included a mezzanine design. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  3. When marketing a Telefunken 8-liter chipset ice-cold air making fan on shop17go.com, Taiwan Television Technology Co., Ltd. and Jin Hau Industry Limited Company posted an advertisement carrying the claim "The only electronic chipset ice-cold fan in Taiwan...The first-ever patented chipset able to generate ice-cold air." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on each company.
  4. Farcent Enterprise Co., Ltd. sold large-, medium- and small-sized Quchenshi eco-friendly lavender-flavored and lemon-flavored garbage bags and posted on the packaging, Internet and advertising cardboards in sales outlets the wording "Tested by SGS as 8 times more durable" and "SGS mechanical and physical test results indicating 8 times higher than the standard tear resistance value." The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, correct the indications on product packaging and sales outlet advertising cardboards and stop making false and misleading representations, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$400,000.
  5. When marketing the Wenxin Aiyue (transliteration) housing project, Highwealth Construction Corp. and Ju Feng Hotel Management Consultant Co., Ltd. provided the text "569 homes" for the media to report and also posted the wording on the website. The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1.5 million and NT$750,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  6. Lifevantage Taiwan Pte. Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, adopted measures against its sales plans or organization to give specific individuals preferential treatment and jeopardized the interests of other participants. The conduct was in violation of Article 19 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on the company.
  7. MaryKay Taiwan, a multi-level marketing business, failed to execute established measures to handle participant breaches of contract and stop such conduct. It was in violation of Article 15 of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
