Enforcement of the Fair Trade Act signifies the strengthening of the domestic competition policy. The FTC established the Competition Policy Information and Research Center to collect competition laws and materials from abroad and has made them available to the government and the general public.

The Fair Trade Commission takes charge of establishing an "APEC Competition Policy and Law Database" with an endorsement from APEC member economies. This pamphlet contains the introduction to the Database, which includes the origin, objectives, and the manual for accessing and searching from the Database.

The Fair Trade Act is an economic law to ensure fair competition and improve economic prosperity. These volumes are published to illustrate the enforcement performance of the FTC and collect selected cases from the Commission's decisions, approvals, administrative guidances, and interpretations as well as judicial cases involving issues on the Fair Trade Act rendered by the Administrative Court by year.

5.Cases and Materials Governing Multi-Level Sales of Republic of China

This book is a comprehensive collection of the FTC's interpretations, decisions, as well as judicial cases rendered by the Administrative Court from January 1993 to the end of 2001. The Fair Trade Law, the Supervisory Regulation Governing Multi-Level Sales and relevant regulations are also included in the appendix.

Since its establishment in 1992, the Fair Trade Commission has actively devoted itself to set up a sound legal framework for the development of the Multi-level Marketing, to protect public interest, and to keep up with international trends. The FTC has gained a significant achievement on building a healthy and reasonable MLM environment. For introducing and sharing the experiences of law enforcement in Taiwan, we hereby arranged and published some related survey, decisions, and regulations for reference.
