Xin Xin Natural Gas Enterprises, a company selling gas safety equipment, used gas service notices, ID passes and uniforms similar to those used by local natural gas suppliers to mislead consumers into believing that the two companies were related in order to push its gas safety equipment. The deceptive conduct was in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. Therefore, the FTC cited the first section of Article 42 of the Fair Trade Act, ordered the company to cease the unlawful act and made the necessary arrangements for the person in charge and the personnel who had sold the equipment to be sanctioned by judicial agencies.

Guang Zhen (transliteration) Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by changing its office location without filing with the FTC in advance. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.

Ease Sleep Co., Ltd. purchased the advertising keyword “Glückliche” on Google to present its claims in relation to “Ease Sleep Hall—all kinds of Glückliche autobeds, mattresses and European-style wrought iron beds” and “Ease Sleep Hall—the best beds available only at Ease Sleep Hall.” It was a false and misleading representation with regard to product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.

TMY Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 25 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by failing to keep its management documents at its main office. The FTC ordered the company to immediately cease the unlawful act and imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
