1. US company Upjohn Inc. and Dutch company Mylan N.V. filed a notification regarding their intended merger. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
2. Citing the proviso set forth in Article 15 (1) and Article 16 (2) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC approved the application from Dachan Great Wall Group, Charoen Pokphand Enterprise Co., Ltd. and Food China Co., Ltd. for the extension of their joint shipment of corn imports. The extension covered a five-year period from Jun. 1, 2020 to May 31, 2025.
