2. Epistar Corporation and Lextar Electronics Corporation filed a notification regarding their intended merger. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
3. Japanese company Sharp Corporation and Japanese company NEC Display Solutions, Ltd. filed a notification regarding their intended merger. Citing Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
4. Chiao Thai Hsing Enterprise Co., Ltd. and 41 other enterprises applied for approval to extend the period of their joint shipment of wheat imports. Citing the proviso set forth in Subparagraph 5 of Article 15 (1) and Article 16 (2) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC gave its approval for the concerted action to be extended for five years until Sep. 30, 2025.
