  1. Jike (transliteration) International Culture and Education Co., Ltd. posted the wording “the only company in Taiwan licensed by Pearson plc in the UK to certify international Chinese teachers” and “an educational institution certified by Pearson” on its company website and Facebook fan page and in its course brochure. The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to content of service and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Paragraph 4 of Article 21 of the Fair Trade Act and Paragraph 1 of the same article was applicable mutatis mutandis. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
  2. Wei Chun Broadwood Go Swimming International Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated (A) Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by setting up a receiving center which was a business office in nature and changing its product items without filing with the FTC in advance, (B) Article 16 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by recruiting people with no capacity for civil conduct to be participants, and (C) Article 16 (2) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by recruiting people with limited capacity for civil conduct to be participants without acquiring the written consent of their legal representatives and attaching it to the participation contract. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$350,000 on the company.
  3. Fuyu Marketing Enterprise Co., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by starting operation without filing with the FTC in advance. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act before registering with the FTC, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  4. doTERRA Taiwan, a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by changing its product items and sales system without filing with the FTC in advance. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on the company.
