  1. KuoBrothers Corp. specifically designed its web page program to use the product information of others to increase the rate of visits paid to its own website. The practice was in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$2 million on the company.

When marketing the "Jollybaby playpen that could be assembled into different sizes" on shopee.com, Pu Baby Co., Ltd. claimed in the advertisement that it was "the only product in Taiwan passing double certification" and "the only product of its kind passing the KCL certification in Korea and the SGS certification in Taiwan." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
  4. When marketing the Taiwan Sanlux 11L SDH-1141MA dehumidifier on the Yahoo! Auction site, Mr. Xu, the person in charge of Jason Electric Appliances Co., posted in the advertisement the wording "Class 1 energy efficiency" and "efficiency rating: Class 1." It was a misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on him an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  5. When marketing the 3M T22 tabletop dual temperature water dispenser on the Yahoo! Super Mall website, Taiwan Water Technology Co., Ltd. posted in the advertisement the wording "awarded the Energy Label." It was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
