  1. HIKIDS Co., Ltd. used the name of a public interest group to market pricey educational materials. The practice was in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$2 million on the company.
  2. 15 domestic air conditioner businesses met to have meals and established the mutual understanding to reduce the warranty period together. The practice was in violation of the regulation against concerted actions set forth in Article 15 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$2.5 million on each of Ho Tai Development Co., Ltd., Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning Taiwan Co., Ltd., Panasonic Sales Taiwan Co., Ltd. and Ya-kuang Electric Appliance Co., Ltd.; NT$800,000 on each of Sampo Corporation, Heran Co., Ltd. and Taiwan Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd.; NT$200,000 on each of Taiwan Gree Co., Ltd., Mitsubishi Electric Taiwan Co., Ltd., Action Electronics Co., Ltd., Nexgen Mediatech Inc., Maxe Taiwan Co., Ltd., Sharp (Taiwan) Electronics Corporation and New Widetech Industries Co., Ltd.; and NT$100,000 on Yu Hwei Technology Co., Ltd..
  3. Six domestic dried scallop importers established the mutual understanding to increase the prices of dried scallops. The practice was able to affect the supply-demand function in the dried scallop market in violation of the regulation against concerted actions set forth in Article 15 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1 million on each of Che Sheng Trading Co., Ltd., Chun Che Trading Co., Ltd., Tou Hou Trading Co., Ltd. and Feng Che Trading Co., Ltd.; and NT$500,000 on each of Ly An Trade Co., Ltd. and Jin Chu Trading Company.
  4. Gorgeous Space Co., Ltd. and Zhou Shi (transliteration) Interior Design and Remodeling Co., Ltd. posted a film titled "New looks of Old Buildings in Taipei—unique hotels in Huashan" on the Gorgeous Space FB wall and displayed the wording of "Unique hotels after transformation with the ingenuity of designers" and "Zhou Shi Interior Design and Remodeling 0809-000-123 ex. 24098." The text was a false and misleading representation in violation of Paragraph 4 of Article 21 of the Fair Trade Act and Paragraph 1 of the same article was applicable mutatis mutandis. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
  5. When marketing the Ji Li Yuan (transliteration) housing project, Yu Shen (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. posted on the layout for all the 1F units the wording of "parking space for each unit" and also displayed a drawing of the spaces in the parking lot. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$600,000 on the company.

When marketing the Xing Yue Ya Zhu housing project, Qian Xiang (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. used the wording of "one-room apartment" in the advertisement and also showed pictures of a residential layout including a living room, bathroom and bedroom with furniture and a mezzanine design. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1 million on the company.
  7. He Yun (transliteration) Development Co., Ltd. posted on 591.com, a real estate transaction website, an advertisement for the Fu Lin Yuan (transliteration) housing project. The layouts for the top floors of A1, B2 and C9 buildings showed there were beds and other bedroom items in the space where the rooftop projection was supposed to be. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$200,000 on the company.

When marketing the Xi Yuan Si Ji (transliteration) presale home project, Xi Yuan (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. posted in an advertisement the wording of "One-room apartment ‘1+1 room, I living/dining room, 1 kitchen and 1 bathroom’" and also displayed a mezzanine design. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$800,000 on the company.
  9. When marketing the Fu Li Zhan Qian (transliteration) housing project located in Hualien City, Kang Cheng (transliteration) Construction and Development Co., Ltd. claimed in the advertisements that a mezzanine structure could be added and also displayed some related pictures. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  10. When marketing the Chang Yuan Shou Xi (transliteration) housing project, Chang Yuan Homes Corp. posted on its Sanzhi Chang Yuan Shou Xi Landscape Villas page on Facebook a B1 floor plan in which the landing area on the rooftop projection level was indicated as a space for a bedroom. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$600,000 on the company.
  11. When marketing the Da He Fu Ju (transliteration) housing project, Yu He (transliteration) construction Co., Ltd. posted the wording of "mechanical 'gym'" and some schematics showing how the equipment could be used. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and also could affect transaction decision in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$500,000 on the company.
