  1. Mei Chi Cheng (transliteration) Enterprise Co., Ltd. violated Article 24 of the Fair Trade Act for not fully disclosing important franchise information to its trading counterparts in writing or via electronic documents before the signing of the franchise contracts. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$250,000.
  2. Hosun Universal Co., Ltd. restricted the prices of its distributors for the company's products. The conduct deprived the distributors of their freedom to make price decisions and was in violation of Article 18 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$150,000.
  3. Greater Taipei (translation) Gas Equipment Co. printed and distributed service notices that people could easily mistake as coming from their natural gas provider. The company then used the pretext of offering safety inspections to push its gas safety devices. The marketing approach was deceptive conduct able to affect trading order in violation of Article 24 of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
  4. Ironsmith Co., Ltd. claimed on its website that the company was "established in 1975 (formerly Chang Hong (transliteration) Metals Co., Ltd.)" and "established in 1982 (formerly Chang Hong (transliteration) Metals Co., Ltd.)." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  5. When marketing its "Kikuchi Kan Arts Villa" housing project, Dahmuh Construction Co., Ltd. advertised that each unit contained "4 to 6 bedrooms" and at the same time marked the machine room and rooftop landing areas as part of the interior space. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use and content of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the company an administrative fine of NT$200,000.
  6. When marketing the Red Line 10W60 engine oil on the Yahoo! Kimo auction website, Mr. A claimed that the product had been certified as complying with the standards of API SN/SM/SL/SJ/CF level oils. It was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC ordered Mr. A to immediately cease the unlawful act.
  7. Mr. A marketed the Red Line 10W40 engine oil on the Ruten auction website and claimed that the product had been certified as "meeting the standards of API SM/SL/SJ/SH/SG/CF" level oils. The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC ordered Mr. A to immediately cease the unlawful act.
  8. Chung Shin International Enterprise Co., Ltd., a multilevel sales business, failed to file with the FTC before changing its product items. The conduct was in violation of Article 7 (1) of the Supervisory Regulations Governing Multilevel Sales provided by Article 23-4 of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the company an administrative fine of NT$50,000. 
  9. Yahoo! Taiwan and Qiao Li (transliteration) Co., Ltd. claimed on the "Wellos healthy eco-friendly laundry ball (3-piece pack)" web page that the product could "get rid of 99.9% chlorine and bacteria" and remove "99% chlorine and bacteria." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each of them.
  10. The advertisement posted on the U-Mall shopping website by U-Mall Co., Ltd. and Jia Hong (transliteration) Enterprise Co., Ltd. for the "Miao Zhu Fu (transliteration) Legendary Tangerine Extract Stain Remover" was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each of them.
  11. In an advertisement for the "UCC Powerful Auto Fuel Saver", Shun Fu Electronics Industrial Co., Ltd. claimed that the product could "save up to 10%~27% fuel." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  12. Cheng Chih Sheng International Co., Ltd. claimed in an advertisement for the "UCC Powerful Auto Fuel Saver" that the product was "able to save up to "10%~ 27% fuels." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  13. In an online advertisement for the "nanotech bacteriostatic automobile curtain fabric", Creative-Shades Industrial Co., Ltd. claimed that the product had been "tested and confirmed by SGS as capable of effectively inhibiting growth of bacteria and preventing mildew by up to 99.9%, inhibiting growth of staphylococcus aureus by up to 99.9%, and inhibiting growth of Escherichia coli by up to 99.9%" and "the rate of bacteriostasis against certain staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli remains over 99.9% even after the fabric is washed 50 times." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the company an administrative fine of NT$50,000.
  14. On the web page for the "US Dacron washable pillow," Yahoo! Taiwan and Kang Rui (transliteration) International Co., Ltd. claimed the product was "Globally patented and the No. 1 seller in the US." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 of each of them.
  15. Yu Sheng Construction Co., Ltd. applied wording and furniture arrangement illustrations normally used for regular residential homes in an advertisement for the "Palm Spring (translation)" housing project which was located in an area classified as a Class B industrial zone. The conduct was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to use of product in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the company to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC also imposed on it an administrative fine of NT$800,000. 
  16. Mr. Home International Development Co., Ltd. claimed the company was "formerly Wu Fu (transliteration) Real Estate, established in 1994 and specialized in real estate investment and development" and "Wu Fu Real Estate, established in 1991 and specialized in land investment and development and real estate brokerage." The wording was a false, untrue and misleading representation with regard to quality of service in violation of Article 21 (3) in applying mutatis mutandis Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed on the company an administrative fine of NT$100,000.
