2. When marketing the Junyue Fuguo (transliteration) housing project, Furong Development Co., Ltd., Seeds Advertising and Marketing Co., Ltd. (translation), and Chengguan (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. displayed a model home with a mezzanine structure in it and also posted pictures of the mezzanine design on 591.com and Facebook. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1 million, NT$400,000 and NT$400,000 on the three companies, respectively.
3. When marketing a VJR JETS GP GOGORO eagle claw cell phone holder for motorcycles on shopee.com, Laixian (transliteration) International Co., Ltd. posted the wording "The only one in the country made in Taiwan" and "The only MIT product" to advertise it. The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
4. When marketing a Whirlpool WDEE50W dehumidifier on ruten.com, Mr. Lin, i.e., Asia Household Appliances Co., posted the claim "Level 1 Energy Efficiency" to advertise the product. The practice was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC issued a warning letter to remind Mr. Lin to be careful with the content of information posted to advertise products in the future as well as ensure the integrity, correctness and authenticity of such information in order not to break the law.
5. When marketing a "one and only in the world Morphy Richards dual-function vacuum cleaner with the ozone feature for cars" on yahoo.com.tw, Yahoo! Taiwan Holdings Limited, Taiwan Branch (H.K.) and Hong Qin Life Tech Co., Ltd. posted the wording "The only dual-function vacuum cleaner with the ozone feature – applicable at home or in the car – with a purifying function using ozone." The claim was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
6. National Children Cultural and Creative Co., Ltd. (translation) posted a comparative advertisement using the wording "Little Planet Publications for Young Children, National Children's Amusement Park – Little Flying Frog, compare them with a reading pen." The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to one's and others' businesses and products and could also affect transaction decisions. It was in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
7. Nutrition Global Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated 1) Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by changing its product items without filing with the FTC in advance and 2) Article 13 (1) of the same act by not signing participation contracts with participants. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
