March, 2016 [ Merger notifications or concerted action applications]

1. Kai Yue (transliteration) Co., Ltd., De Rui Investment Co., Ltd. and Yu Feng Investment Co., Ltd. and its affiliates (including HYA Cable TV and TY Cable TV) filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
2. Synnex International Co., Ltd. and Bestcom Technology Co., Ltd. filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
3. Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. filed a merger notification regarding its intention to merge with Siliconware Precision Industries Co., Ltd. However, as the public takeover associated with the merger had already expired on Mar. 17, 2016, the merger was unlikely to happen. Hence, the review of the merger notification was terminated.
4. US-based Lam Research Corporation and US-based KLA-Tencor Corporation filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
5. Yung Shin Pharmaceutical Industries Co., Ltd. and Zoetis Biotech Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
6. US-based Denali Holding Inc. and US-based EMC Corporation filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
7. US-based Pfizer Inc, Irish Allergan plc and US-based Watson Merger Sub Inc. filed a merger notification. Acting according to Article 13 (1) of the Fair Trade Act, the FTC did not prohibit the merger.
