  1. Asia Pacific Telecom Co., Ltd. posted a cell phone plan promotion advertisement of "$999 per month for unlimited calls in and outside the network and Internet access." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to content of service affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21(4) in applying mutatis mutandis Article 21(1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$600,000 on the company.
  2. Fu Luo (transliteration) Co., Ltd. posted an advertisement for the "Quantum Hercules" product on the company’s Facebook page and claimed the product had been tested by the Automotive Research & Testing Center as able to save up to 25% of gasoline, 14% on average and 8% minimum. The product had also been certified as having the functions of saving energy and reducing carbon dioxide emissions. The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  3. Royal Art International Co. Ltd. posted an advertisement on ACCUPASS.com for its lecture activities, claiming that one of the speakers Mr. A had a PhD from National Taiwan University. The company also stressed that Mr. A had won the first prize in the Taiwan Memory Championship and was currently serving as a high-level hypnotist of the US National Guild of Hypnotists and a high-level practitioner of the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming. The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of service affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21(4) in applying mutatis mutandis Article 21(1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  4. JHK Marketing Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act for failing to file with the FTC before changing its office location. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on the company.
  5. On the Momo Shopping Network, when Fubon Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd. marketing the "streamlined Kymco GP125 with drum brakes" claimed the bike was selling for NT$73,000. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to price of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on the company.
  6. Jiemusz International Co., Ltd, a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 6 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by failing to file statutorily required documents and information with the FTC. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$300,000 on the company.
  7. In an advertisement for its "Zhong Shan Kai Yan (transliteration)" housing project, Bo Yuan (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. indicated there would be a lounge bar, a pool room, a multi-function recreation room, a gym and motorcycle parking spaces. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product affecting transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$1.9 million on the company.
