  1. When marketing the “Nyuyue Shishang (transliteration)” housing project, Jieli (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Yuyin (transliteration) International Enterprise Co., Ltd. displayed a model home that included a mezzanine structure and residential furnishings. The practice was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. In addition to ordering the two companies to immediately cease the unlawful act, the FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$800,000 and NT$600,000 on them, respectively.
  2. Chenming (transliteration) Construction Co., Ltd. and Friendly (translation) Marketing Co., Ltd. posted an advertisement showing the Block A, Block B and Block D layouts which indicated the first and second rooftop floors originally designed to be used for electrochemical equipment as interior space for bathrooms and bedrooms when marketing the “Chenming Quanfeng (transliteration)” housing project. The conduct was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$500,000 and NT$200,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  3. Jiayou Construction Co., Ltd. and Fangyuan (transliteration) International Design Consultancy Co., Ltd. posted an advertisement showing the A1 2F~15F floor plans on which dotted lines were applied to mark the balcony space as part of the interior when marketing the “Gongyuan Shangpin (transliteration)” housing project. The conduct was a false and misleading representation with regard to content and use of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed administrative fines of NT$1.8 million and NT$200,000 on the two companies, respectively.
  4. PChome Online Inc. and Hanplus International Co., Ltd. posted an advertisement claiming the product could “dissipate heat effectively and prevent babies from getting asphyxiated” and “Hajour invested a lot of time and energy to develop this multi-function pillow which can prevent babies from sudden death as well as ensure that the shape of the head will be perfect” when marketing a “Korean Hajour dual-purpose beehive-design inflated pillow for babies” on the PChome Online 24h shopping website. The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on each company.
  5. Jing Zhune Co., Ltd., a multi-level marketing business, violated Article 7 (1) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act by changing its product and service items without filing with the FTC in advance. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$150,000 on the company.
