  1. When marketing the presale homes of the Dapinglin ONE housing project located in Xindian District of New Taipei City, Changrong Jiumeng (transliteration) Development and Construction Co., Ltd. and Zhengan (transliteration) Advertising Co., Ltd. requested that homebuyers pay a deposit, otherwise the purchase contract would not be provided for them to read the content. The practice was obviously unfair conduct able to affect trading order. It was in violation of Article 25 of the Fair Trade Act. Therefore, the FTC ordered the two companies to immediately cease the unlawful act and also imposed administrative fines of NT$1 million and NT$500,000 on them, respectively.
  2. When marketing the "Whirlpool WDEE-40W" dehumidifier on the Yahoo auction site, Lianying International Enterprise Co., Ltd. posted the wording "Energy efficiency Level 1" in the advertisement. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. Hence, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
  3. When marketing the "Whirlpool WDEE-40W" dehumidifier on the Ruten auction site. Mr. Liu, the owner of Dongyang Household Appliance Store posted the wording "Level 1 energy efficiency" in the advertisement. It was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. Therefore, the FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on Mr. Liu.
  4. When marketing the SOYES wireless bluetooth earphone product on shopee.com, Mr. Zhang, the owner of Jizhi (transliteration) Creative Film-Coating Store, posted the claim "The only one passing Taiwan NCC certification, with the certificate attached." The wording was a false and misleading representation with regard to quality of product and could also affect transaction decisions in violation of Article 21 (1) of the Fair Trade Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$50,000 on Mr. Zhang.
  5. Vasayo, LLC Taiwan Branch, a multi-level marketing business, recruited people with limited capacity for civil conduct without acquiring the written consent of their legal representatives in advance and attaching it to the participation contract. The practice was in violation of Article 16 (2) of the Multi-level Marketing Supervision Act. The FTC imposed an administrative fine of NT$100,000 on the company.
