A Study on the Market Behavior of Man-Made Fiber Manufacturing Industry and the Fair Trade Law

Abstract

The purpose of this project is to study on the market behavior of man-made fiber manufacturing industry in Chinese Taipei and the Fair Trade Law: examining the market structures, conducts and performances, and analyzing the industry relations by using industrial economics and input-output tables. We hope that this project can offer our government in making industrial policy for reference. Because of the global economical depressions and entrances to WTO evolutions, we offer the strategies and suggestions. The operation behaviors of man-made fiber manufacturing industry in Chinese Taipei maybe involve collusion (conspiracy) behaviors. Comparing with other countries’ action plans relating collusion (conspiracy) behaviors, we discuss the principal items in stagnancy cartel and try to evaluate the influence. We suggest that the Fair Trade Commission could highly consider the degree of “the influence in marketing function” and set up the standard in evaluating those behaviors.
