7.Promoting and Advocating Fair Competition Concepts
The maintenance of competition order relies on the joint efforts of the Commission and the public. In 2023, the Commission continued to promote and advocate fair competition concepts through multiple channels. Aside from collaborating with concerned ministries and councils to hold various presentations and distribute propaganda materials, the Commission also launched the Fair Trade G2B Express project to offer businesses customized services. The Commission also comprehensively applied the Internet and new media tools to transmit fair competition concepts to every part of society. Important promotion work in 2023 included:
(1) Attending meetings with the Executive Yuan and other central government agencies on the stabilization of commodity prices, development of digital platforms, the system for orderly book discounts, the registration of property sales, international maritime transportation, and gift giving and discounts for alcoholic products, etc. to offer opinions on issues involving competition to guide other agencies to understand and value competition concepts and related regulations.
(2) Organizing coordination and liaison meetings with local agencies and setting up communication channels with local agencies to upgrade their performance when they helped promote the Commission’s operations.
(3) Giving presentations on advertising regulations and multi-level marketing regulations regarding the sales of presale homes and textbooks and manufacturing businesses to improve the general public’s knowledge of the laws and regulations the Commission was in charge of, holding 73 presentation sessions in all and also
