(4) Bilateral exchanges
To increase mutual understanding with the competition authorities of other countries, develop long-term friendships and build the foundation for further cooperation, the FTC has continued to promote international exchange activities. In 2024, the FTC had high-level bilateral meetings with the U.S., France, Singapore and the Philippines to exchange ideas on competition and sustainability, in order to broaden the scope for international cooperation.

(5) Foreign guests visiting to exchange ideas
To absorb international competition law theories and experiences, the FTC in 2024 especially invited Professor Andreas Fuchs from Germany, Professor Felix Chang from the U.S., and Professor Christopher S. Yoo from the U.S. to give speeches and exchange ideas. Respectively entitled “A Study of Control Measures and Latest Developments and Tendencies of Competition Lawsuits of Tech Giants” and “The Theoretic Basis of EU Digital Markets Acts and Challenges Brought by Remedial Measures,” the speeches were learning from the experiences of merger reviews and the handling of digital platform- related cases in Western countries.
