(5) Academic research
The Commission carries out various research programs on a regular basis each year, including projects with specifically chosen topics commissioned to be conducted by scholars and specialists, in the hope that in-depth analyses of competition theories and practices can be completed through research and development to work out suggestions for the promotion and improvement of the Commission’s operations to enhance the effects of law enforcement. Five commissioned research project reports were completed in 2023.
Discussion on issues related to “Metaverse” and competition law
on a variety of issues were presented during the seminar, including basic procedures, industrial issues, digital-related topics, and discussions on the regulation of competition restraints around the world. The efforts led to substantial achievements in Fair Trade Act and competition policy research.
